SEASONED GREEN BEANS

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) can clear chicken broth
  • 1 broth can of water
  • 4 TB butter
  • 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cans (1 lb each) cut green beans, undrained,

Preparation

Step 1

In 2 1/2 qt saucepan combine chicken broth, water. Bring to boil. Add butter, liquid smoke and black pepper allowing mixture to simmer gently a minute.

Add the green beans, to the broth mixture. Cover and keep on low heat about 15 to 20 minutes, till piping hot, without letting beans boil. Remove from broth mixture with slotted spoon.

Serves 4 to 5 nicely.
