Chimichurri Sauce

Use chimichurri sauce as a marinade or on grilled steak, fish, seafood or vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Italian parsley
  • 1/2 cup cilantro
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • red pepper flakes, to taste

Preparation

Step 1

in a food processor or blender, blitz parsley, cilantro, garlic and oregano until chopped but not pureed.

Transfer mixture to a pint jar with a lid. Add oil, vinegar salt and red pepper. Cover and shake well.

Let the chimichurri sit at room temperature for at least 2 hours.
