Creamy Dilled Carrots

Ingredients

  • 4 cups thinly sliced carrots
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • pinch pepper
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup light cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

Preparation

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine carrots, water, butter, salt, sugar and pepper. Cover and simmer. Remove carrots, reserving liquid.

Mix together flour and cream. Mix into reserved liquid. Bring to boil until thickened. Simmer for 10 minutes. Pour over carrots. Stir in dill; let stand 15 minutes.
