Ingredients
- 6 medium carrots
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
- grated rind of 1/2 orange
- grated rind or 1/2 lemon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground mace
- salt
Preparation
Step 1
Cut carrots into thins slices. Combine all other ingredients and bring to boil. Lower heat to low and add the carrots. Simmer covered stirring frequently for 5 minutes adding more juice if needed to prevent scorching. There should be just a little sauce in the finished dish
