Brocolli with Garlic Butter and Cashews

Ingredients

  • 1 medium bunch broccoli
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup salted whole cashews

Preparation

Step 1

In dutch oven place broccoli spears, add water, cover boil and cook until tender crisp. Remove to serving platter.

Meanwhile, melt butter. Add remaining ingredients except cashews. Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until mixture comes to a full boil. Stir in cashews. Serve broccoli with sauce.
