Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless rib eye roast
- 1/4 C sesame oil
- 1/4 C soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 T grated fresh gingerroot
- 1 T lemon juice
- 2 T chopped green onions
- 1/4 C brown sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Trim beef.
Combine all ingredients except beef, in a glass dish. Add beef and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferable overnight.
Drain and reserve the marinade.
Preheat a lightly oiled BBQ. When it is very hot, add tthe beef and brown on all sides to seal the mneat. Remove the reast, wrap in foil and cook on BBQ, turning occasionally, for another 20 minutes or longer, depending on how rare or well done you like. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Meanwhile, place the reserved marinade in a small saucepan and boil for 5 minutes. Drizzle over the beef just before serving.
