Skewered Ginger Beef

Ingredients

  • 1 C sugar
  • 1 C soy sauce
  • 1/2 C vegetable oil
  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 C sesame seeds, toasted
  • 3/4 tsp ground ginger or 2 tsp grated fresh
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 2 lbs beef sirloin steak, cut into 1/4" strips

Preparation

Step 1

In large resealable plastic bag, combine first 8 ingredients; add steak. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

Drain and sidcard marinade. Thread steak onto metal or soaked wooden skewers. Grill, covered, over miduim heat for 8 - 10 minutes or until desired doneness, turning occasionally.
