  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 1 can (16 oz) ranch style beans
  • 1/2 cup barbeque sauce

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Crumble the ground beef into a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook until evenly browned. Drain. Put onion and bell pepper in skillet; cook until tender. Add corn, ranch style beans, tomatoes, barbeque sauce, house seasoning and chili powder. Stir drained hamburger into vegetable mixture. Mix well. Pour into baking dish.

Prepare the cornbread mix according to package directions. Stir in cheddar cheese. Spread the batter over the top of the beef mixture.

Bake for 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven, until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center of the cornbread layer comes out clean.
