Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 1 1/2 T sugar
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 cooking oil
- 2 T milk
- Filling
- 1 c sugar
- 2 T flour
- 8 c thinly sliced peeled, tart baking apples, about 7 apples
- 3 T butter
- Topping
- 1 C flour
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 c butter
Preparation
Step 1
Step one
combine flour, sugar, salt, oil, milk. press into a 8" deep dish pie pan
step two
Toss apples in sugar and flour. Place in piecrust and dot with the butter
step three
Combine flour, sugar, then cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Spread evenly over apples. Cover pie lightly with aluminum foil and bake 40-50 min.
Remove foil for the last 15 min of baking.
