Radiant health smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 packed cups of kale or other green leafy vegetable (collards, spinach)
  • 1 cup of unsweetened soy*/almond/rice/other milk
  • 1 cup Green Tea
  • 1 cup of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup of strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 1 orange, peeled and sectioned
  • 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 Tablespoons of ground flax seeds or chia seeds
  • 3/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 10-12 ice cubes
  • To avoid GMO-containing versions of these items, use organic or non-GMO certified

Preparation

Step 1

In a high-powered blender, process the kale with the soy milk. Add in the green tea, the fruit, cocoa powder, flax seeds and spices. If a thinner consistency is desired add in water or soy*/almond/rice/other milk. For a cold, frosty shake add ice cubes. Pour into 2 glasses and serve immediately.
