PEEPER PIE (SUGAR CREAM PIE)

Ingredients

  • 1 CUP SUGAR
  • 3 TBSP CORNSTARCH
  • 1/2 CUP BUTTER (NOT MARGARINE!)
  • 2 CUPS HALF AND HALF
  • 1 TSP VANILLA
  • NUTMEG
  • CINNAMON
  • 1 Pie Shell, Unbaked

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat Oven To 350˚. Combine All Ingredients Except For Cinnamon And Nutmeg In A 3-Quart Sauce Pan Over Medium To Medium High Heat Stirring Slowly, But Constantly Until Thick And Just Starts To Boil. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg so tip is nicely speckled without completely covering it. Set pie tins on a cookie sheet or foil and bake for 25 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!!
