Sausage Calzone

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs italian sweet sausage.
  • EVOO
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Grated parmigiano cheese
  • 2 tblsp chopped pimento
  • 2 tubes pizza dough
  • 2 cups shredded mozarella cheese
  • 2 cups marinara/pizza sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Brown sausage in olive oil and drain.

combine sausage, ricotta, garlic. parmigiano, pepper and pimento. Roll out pizza dough and half crosswise. Place on a non stick cookie sheet. Place 1/2 cup mozarella and pile filling on half of the cut pizza dough. Fold over dough and pinch edges to seal..

Bake @ 425 for 15 minutes. Serve with heated marinara/pizza sauce.
