Strawberry Pie w/ oil crust

Ingredients

  • Pie: Crust:
  • 2 T cornstarch 1 1/3 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c sugar 1 1/2 T sugar
  • 1 c water 1 tsp salt
  • 4 T strawberry jello (dry) 2 T milk
  • 2 c. fresh strawberries cut in sections 1/3 c vegetable oil

Preparation

Step 1

Crust-
Put flour, sugar and salt into a 8-9" pie pan. Whip milk and oil together with a fork and add to flour mixture. Mix w/ fork, in pie pan, and press firmly into pie pan. Bake at 425 for 12-15 min until brown. Let cool

Pie filling-
Mix 2 T cornstarch and 1 c sugar. Add 1 c water...bring this mixture to a boil and remove from heat. Add 4 T strawberry jello and stir until dissolved. COOL. Cut 2 c strawberries into pieces and place in bottom of oil crust. Pour jello mixture over strawberries...refrigerate. Top with cool whip and enjoy.
