Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 can (5 1/3 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 tbsp light corn syrup
- 2 oz unsweetened chocolate or semisweet chocolate
- 3 tbsp butter flavor Crisco
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
Preparation
Step 1
In a 2 quart sauce pan combine sugar, evaporated milk and corn syrup. Heat to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and add chocolate. Stir over low heat to melt completely. Remove from heat. Blend in Crisco, vanilla and salt. Serve warm.
Makes 1 1/2 cups.
