can (5⅓ oz) evaporated milk
tbsp light corn syrup
oz unsweetened chocolate or semisweet chocolate
tbsp butter flavor Crisco
In a 2 quart sauce pan combine sugar, evaporated milk and corn syrup. Heat to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and add chocolate. Stir over low heat to melt completely. Remove from heat. Blend in Crisco, vanilla and salt. Serve warm. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
