Mussells Steamed in Pernod

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of fresh mussells scrubbed and opened ones discarded
  • 1/2 c Pernod
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 4 tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • 1/2 c panko bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

Bring Pernod to a boil, add mussells and steam covered for approx 3 minutes or until mussells have opened.

Discard any that are not open.

Arrange mussells on the half shell on a baking sheet. Drizzle with melted butter, sprinkle with chives and bread crumbs.

Broil until lightly browned.
