Martha's Stuffed Crabs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound crab claw meat
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/4 bell pepper
  • salt
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 loaf stale french bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon ground bay leaf
  • 1 clove garlic
  • pepper
  • celery
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • garlic salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix claw meat with beaten egg. Set aside. Soak bread in water. Set aside. Chop vegetable and parsley. Sauté until brown. Drain bread. Mix bread with crab and egg. Add to vegetables. Cook, stirring occasionally. Add seasonings to taste, and cook approximately ten minutes. Stuff shells. Sprinkle with bread crumbs, and top with pat of butter. Bake at 350 F for fifteen minutes.
