Spicy Cajun Shrimp

Serve with crusty french bread and salad. May be served over rice.

Ingredients
- 2 doz. lrg. or 1 lb med. shrimp, thawed, peeled and deveined
- 1 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. Worchestershire
- 1/4 c. beer
- 1 c. or lrg. tomato, diced coarsely
- 3 c. rice
Preparation
Step 1
Clean and devein shrimp under cold running water. Drain well and set aside. In small bowl combine seasonings. Combine the margarine, garlic, Worchestershire and seasonings in a large skillet over high heat. When margarine is melted, add tomato then the shrimp. Cook for 2 mins. stirring evenly. Add beer and cover; cook for 1 min. longer. Remove from heat.
