Vanilla Cake Frosting

Will frost 24 cupcakes or 2 9in cake layers

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c softened butter or margarine
  • 4 c powdered sugar, divided
  • 2 t vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c low fat mild

Preparation

Step 1

Cream the softened butter with two cups of the powdered sugar. When light and fluffy, add the vanilla extract and milk. Beat in the remaining two cups of sugar a little at a time, to make the mixture spreadable and just a bit thinner than you want it to be. The frosting will thicken a bit as you work.
