Basil Pesto

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 3 tbsp pine nuts
  • pinch sea salt
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp grated pecorino cheese

Preparation

Step 1

In a food processor, chop garlic cloves. Add basil, pine nuts and salt and pulse until coarsely chopped. With the motor running, drizzle in olive oil thru feed tube. Transfer to a bowl and stir in cheeses. Can refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
