Apple Pie Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, washed and cut into 8 wedges. No seeds.
  • 1/4 c light brown sugar
  • 3 T unsalted butter, melted and divided
  • 1 T ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz Pilsbury crescent rolls
  • Homemade caramel sauce or your favorite store brand

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine 1/4 c light brown sugar and 2 T melted butter, and 1 T cinnamon. Mix well.
Unroll the roll and place on parchment paper. Top each with 1 T brown sugar mix and 1 apple slice. Spread the brown sugar mixture all over the roll and put the apple at the wide end. Starting at the wide end, carefully roll each crescent around the apple, keeping the filling inside.
Brush each roll with remaining 1 T butter and place baking sheet in oven. Bake for 15-20 min until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through, about 20 min. Serve with caramel sauce.
