Apple Torte

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon anilla
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • Filling:
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Topping:
  • 4 cups peeled, sliced apple
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Blend in flour. Spread dough on bottom & sides of a 9-inch springform pan.

Combine filling ingredients and pour over pastry layer.

Toss apples with sugar/cinnamon mix. Spread over cheese layer.

Sprinkle apple layer with almonds.

Bake at 450 for 10 minutes. Then, lower of temp to 400 degrees and continue baking for 25 minutes.
