Creamy chicken noodle soup

Ingredients

  • 2-3 large chicken breast
  • Carrots
  • Celery
  • Onions
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 14 oz chicken broth
  • 3/8 c flour
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1/3 c heavy cream
  • 2 1/2 c milk
  • 1 1/2 tbls olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

In skillet saute onions, carrots and celery in olive oil until tender.
Cook and shred chicken breast.
Add cooked vegetables to chicken broth and add bay leaves.
Once you've added vegetables and chicken to broth add milk and heavy whipping cream. Melt the butter and add flour to make a thickening. Add thickening to soup and and prepared noodles (egg noodles work great) cook about 15 minutes on low.
