Ingredients
- 2 cup uncooked rotini or spiral pasta
- 6 uncooked lasagna noodles
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can (15 oz.) pizza sauce
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 30 slices pepperoni
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in large skillet over medium high heat for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring to separate meat. Drain fat and season with salt and pepper.
Combine pasta, pizza sauce, tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, garlic salt and oregano in a large bowl. Add beef mixture and stir until blended. Place half of the mixture in a 3 quart casserole. Top with 1 cup cheese. Repeat layers separating with lasagna noodles. Arrange pepperoni slices on top.
Bake in oven for 25 to 30 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
