    cup uncooked rotini or spiral pasta

  • 6

    uncooked lasagna noodles

  • 2

    lbs. ground beef

  • 1

    medium onion, chopped

  • 1

    can (15 oz.) pizza sauce

  • 1

    can (8 oz.) tomato sauce

  • 1

    can (6 oz.) tomato paste

  • 1/2

    tsp. sugar

  • 1/2

    tsp. garlic salt

  • 1/2

    tsp. dried oregano

  • 2

    cups shredded mozzarella cheese

    slices pepperoni

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in large skillet over medium high heat for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring to separate meat. Drain fat and season with salt and pepper. Combine pasta, pizza sauce, tomato sauce, tomato paste, sugar, garlic salt and oregano in a large bowl. Add beef mixture and stir until blended. Place half of the mixture in a 3 quart casserole. Top with 1 cup cheese. Repeat layers separating with lasagna noodles. Arrange pepperoni slices on top. Bake in oven for 25 to 30 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
