Crumb Topped Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 2 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/8 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine, softened
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Can (20 oz.) Apple Pie Slices, undrained
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 Cup Butter or Margarine

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 for glass). Grease and flour a 9 x 13" baking pan. Combine first 8 ingredients; beat for 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour into prepared baking dish. Spoon apples evenly over batter. Combine topping ingredients; blend until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake for 50-60 minutes until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool.
