Garlic Basil Halibut

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh or frozen halibut steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tblsp snipped fresh basil
  • 1 tblsp butter, melted
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Thaw fish, if frozen; rinse and pat dry with paper towels. If necessary, cut fish into two serving-size pieces. In a small bowl combine basil, melted butter, garlic, salt and pepper. Brush mixture over both sides of fish.

Place fish on the unheated rack of broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from the heat for 8-12 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with fork, turning once.
