Caramel Pound Cake

Will also need Brown Caramel Frosting recipe.

Ingredients

  • List 1:
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 box (16 oz) brown sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • List 2:
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

From List 1, beat all together well adding 1 egg at a time, beating well after adding each egg. Mix in dry ingredients from List 2.

Then add the milk, vanilla and nuts (optional). blend and bake at 300 degrees for 1 hr 45 minutes.

Frost with Braown Caramel Frosting.
