CANDIED GINGER SCONES

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1.5 tsp ginger
  • 2.5 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4-1/2 cup chopped candied ginger
  • 3/4 cup butter frozen
  • 3/4 cup cream + mor4e for brushing
  • 2 tsp. zest
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

Pre heat oven to 400F
Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter. Stir in ginger and zest. Add buttermilk. Knead dough. Divide in half. Pat each out to 3/4 inch thick. Cut into wedges. bake 15-20 minutes
