Beef Taco Ring

Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs Ground beef
  • 1 pkg Taco seasoning mix (1-1.25 oz)
  • 1¾ cups Cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
  • 2 Tbs Water
  • 1 ea Egg white, lightly beaten
  • ½ cup Salsa
  • 1 ea Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Lettuce, shredded
  • ½ cup Sour cream
  • 2 pkg Cresecnt rolls (8oz with 8 rolls)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°. Brown ground meat, breaking into crumbles. Drain and add taco seasoning and 1½ cups of the cheese and the water. Mix well.

Separate the crescent rolls and arrange triangles, slightly overlapping, in a circle on a large round stone. Wide ends of triangle should be toward the center and 4 inches from the edge of the stone. Points will extend off the edge of the stone. roll wide ends of the dough toward the center to create a 5 inch opening.

Scoop filling evenly over the dough and fold points over to the middle and tuck under center ring. Filling will show. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Place toppings in middle for serving.
