Ingredients
- 1 1 1 cup flour
- 1/4 1/4 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 1 1 tsp salt
- 1-1/4 1-1/4 1-1/4 tsp baking powder
- 2 2 2 eggs
- 1/3 1/3 1/3 cup peach nectar
- 1 1 1 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1-1/3 1-1/3 1/4'' cups peaches, diced into 1/4'' cubes
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Preparation
Step 1
Combine flour, ground nutmeg, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Whisk eggs, peach nectar, and butter in a small bowl. Add liquid mixture to dry mixture and whisk until fully incorporated. Gently fold in the peaches.
Heat fryer oil to 375°F. Spoon the batter, by 1/4-cup size fritters, into the hot oil. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Remove the fritters from the oil and place them into a plate lined with paper towels.
Dust the fritters heavily with powdered sugar and serve warm.
Note: You can substitute apples for peaches in this recipe.
