PEANUT BRITTLE

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup white syrup
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 pint raw shelled peanuts
  • Paraffin the size of a nut

Preparation

Step 1

Cook slow on low heat for about 35 minutes. When done add:

1 1/2 teaspoons soda
Dash of salt
-
Pour on hard surface. When cool; break in pieces; store in tight container.
