Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 7 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup shredded coconut
Preparation
Step 1
Mix sugar, flour and salt. Add beaten egg yolks and milk. Cook until thickened and add butter and vanilla and 1 cup shredded coconut. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with meringue.

MERINGUE: Beat 2 egg whites and 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar until foamy. Beat in 4 tablespoons sugar, one tablespoon at a time.
