Ingredients
- SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:
- 1 can crushed pineapple with syrup - (20 oz)
- 16 cups chopped peeled cored pears - (abt 6 lbs)
- 10 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 12 half-pint canning jars with lids - (to 16)
Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cook until pears are tender and mixture thickens, approximately 30 minutes. Transfer to sterilized jars and seal while still hot.
This recipe yields 12 to 16 half-pints.
