Ingredients
- 1 -pkg. mozzarella cheese
- 1 -pkg. provolone cheese
- 1 -pkg. Parmesan cheese
- 1-8 oz. Regular cottage cheese(do not use creamy ) can substitute Ricotta if desired
- 1 -green pepper, chopped
- 1/2-tsp. thyme
- 1/2-tsp. parsley flakes
- 1/4-tsp. paprika
- 1/2-tsp. chili powder
- 1-tsp. garlic salt
- 1-tsp. onion salt
- 2 -onions, chopped
- 2-lbs. ground beef
- 1-1 lb. Lasagne noodles
- 2 -cans tomato paste
- 1-lg. can peeled tomatoes
- 1/2-tsp. oregano
- 3 -bay leaves
Preparation
Step 1
Cook noodles as directed.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Brown meat & add all spices, when meat is almost done, add green
pepper & onions.
When browned, add tomato paste & peeled tomatoes.
When mixture is juicy, add provolone & Parmesan cheeses, let melt into mixture. Simmer 20-minutes.
Take off heat and add cottage cheese. Spray a 13"x9" dish with Pam, put a little sauce in bottom of pan,top with a layer of noodles, sauce. Continue alternating sauce & noodles, saving a little sauce to go on top of last layer of noodles.
Add mozarella .
Bake until cheese has melted & browned.
Add hot peppers to taste if desired.
