Ingredients

  • Zest of 5 tangerines in wide pieces
  • Zest of 5 grapefruit in wide pieces
  • Zest of 5 lemons in wide pieces
  • Zest of 5 oranges in wide pieces
  • 10 cups sugar
  • 10 cups water
  • 3 bottles Nandini grappa

Preparation

Step 1

Make simple syrup of 10 cups sugar and 10 cups water by heating both together until clear. Allow to cool.

Arrange eight 1-quart bottles and place 1/2 of each zest in each bottle. Divide simple syrup among bottles and top each with grappa.

This recipe yields 8 quarts -- 2 quarts of each citrus variety.
