Ingredients

  • 3 cans Crushed Tomatoes - 28-32 oz each
  • 1 large can tomato paste
  • Garlic
  • oil
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp. dried basil or 4 bay leaves

Preparation

Step 1

Use 2 turns of oil in bottom of pan. Saute, but do not burn, garlic. Add tomatoes, 3/4 can of water, paste, salt, pepper and basil. Cook on medium low heat for 1 hour. Stirring occasionally. After 1 hour add any meat to the pot (meatballs, sausage, beef, pork, etc) and cook for additional 2 hours. Stir often. Serve with pasta.
