FRENCH TOAST KEBABS

Ingredients

  • wooden skewers, soaked for 20 minutes
  • day old pain au levain cut to 1 inch pieces
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • syrup, melted butter, powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and vanilla to blend. Mix in bread to coat; thread onto skewers. Grill, covered, on a well-oiled cooking grate over medium heat at about 350, until browned, turning once, 3-4 minutes. Serve with syrup, melted butter and dusted with sugar.
