Sausage Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups chopped carrots
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage

Preparation

Step 1

SPREAD rice evenly in lightly greased 3 quart casserole. Spoon vegetables over rice.

POUR chicken broth and water over the vegetables.

COOK sausage until browned; drain well. Spoon sausage over vegetables.

COVER and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

REMOVE from oven and stir, cover and bake for 30 minutes more.
