Braised Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 Large Head Cabbage Washed, Cored & Sliced
  • 2 T EVOO
  • 6 Slices Thick Bacon Cut 1" Strips
  • 1 Small Yellow Onion Sliced
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Bottle Beer
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste

Preparation

Step 1

Large Pot Medium Heat, Add EVOO & Bacon - Cook Until Brown & Crisp.

Add Onion, Bay Leaves, Saute Until Onions Soft.

Add Cabbage, Stir to Mix - Add Beer, Cover and Cook 30 Minutes.

Ready When Cabbage is Wilted - Remove Bay Leaves.

S & P to Taste.

Serve Hot.
