Ingredients

  • 16 ounce container refrigerated pizza dough*
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp Kosher or sea salt
  • Tip: For a fun variation, stop by your local pizza parlour and purchase a raw pizza dough ball from them. Usually, a “large” 14-inch pizza dough is about 16 ounces.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 200 C (400 F)

In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, oregano, parsley and salt

Cut dough into 16 30-gram (1-ounce) balls. Roll each dough ball into a 15-centimetre (6-inch) rope, about 1 1/2-centimetre (1/2-inch) thick, and tie into a knot

Tucking longer ends back under the knot (the part that will be the bottom)

Place prepared knots on a non-stick baking sheet and brush knots with about half of the butter mixture

Bake knots for about 10 minutes, until golden brown

Serve warm with the remaining butter mixture for dipping
