Crock Pot Apple Butter/Apple Cider

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs apples, quartered and peeled
  • 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp all spice
  • 1 tsp cloves

Preparation

Step 1

Cook the apples in water until they can be mashed into a pule

Add the vinegar, then if needed add water until at least 7 cups of pulp is achieved

Add sugar, cinnamon, all spice and cloves.

Pour into a crock pot and cook overnight. Place a large pizza pan underneath to catch overflow while cooking.

Pour into jelly jars while stll hot and seal per recommended safe canning procedures.
