Ingredients
- l.5 lbs. Shredded Red Cabbage
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 5 slices diced bacon
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1.5 cups chopped celery
- .5 cup granulated sugar
- .5 cup vinegar
- .75 cups current jelly
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 large sliced granny smith apple
Preparation
Step 1
1. Fry the bacon in a pan
2. Add the garlic, onion, and celery. Cook until softened
3. Add the cabbage, apple, and stir
4. Add the sugar, vinegar, and jelly and mix well.
5. Cover with broth and simmer.
6. Cook until the cabbage is tender
