Ingredients
- 4 oz. sweet baking chocolate
- 1/2 c water
- 4 lg. eggs
- 2 c sugar
- 1 c softened butter
- 2 1/4 c a.p. flour or 2 1/2c cake flour (plus 6T a.p. flour)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp.vanilla
- 1 c buttermilk
Preparation
Step 1
. Combine all the dry ingredients except the sugar, sift together
. Cream the butter, add in the sugar and cream together for 2 minutes, add in the eggs one at a time, along with vanilla
. Add in the dry ingredients one cup at a time, continue to mix until combined thoroughly
. Divide batter evenly into 2 greased 8" cake pans and bake at 350 degrees until done
