Ingredients

    oz. sweet baking chocolate

  • 1/2

    c water

  • 4

    lg. eggs

  • 2

    c sugar

  • 1

    c softened butter

  • 2 1/4

    c a.p. flour or 2 1/2c cake flour (plus 6T a.p. flour)

  • 1

    tsp. baking soda

  • 1

    tsp. salt

  • 1

    tsp.vanilla

  • 1

    c buttermilk

Directions

. Combine all the dry ingredients except the sugar, sift together . Cream the butter, add in the sugar and cream together for 2 minutes, add in the eggs one at a time, along with vanilla . Add in the dry ingredients one cup at a time, continue to mix until combined thoroughly . Divide batter evenly into 2 greased 8" cake pans and bake at 350 degrees until done
