Creole Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 thick pork chops
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp chopped green onion
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup sliced green pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Tabasco
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp sugar

Preparation

Step 1

In large skillet brown chops on either side untiil golden brown. This takes about 8 min. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Add water. Spread ketchup on top of chops. Add green onion, mushrooms, green pepper, Tabasco, Worcestershire and sugar if used.

Bring to a boil. Cover. Reduce heat.

Cook over low heat for 45-50 min until fork tender.

Taste to adjust seasoning.

Serve over rice.
