Peach Cobbler

Best if made with fresh peaches in season.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Sliced Peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 1 Stick Butter or Margarine
  • 3/4 Cup Flour
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • Dash of Salt
  • 3/4 Cup Milk

Preparation

Step 1

Mix peaches with 1 cup sugar. Melt butter in the dish you use to bake the cobbler. Blend remaining cup of sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Pour over melted butter. Do not stir. Put peaches on top. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees or until crust is golden brown. Butter will rise to the top during baking.
