Three Bean Apple Bake

Ingredients

• 1 T margarine
• 2 apples, cored and chopped
• 1 medium onion, chopped
• 1 can (16 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
• 1 can (16 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
• 1 can (16 oz) small white beans, drained and rinsed
• 1/3 C ketchup
• 3 T brown sugar
• 2 T molasses
• 1 T spicy brown mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400oF. In a small skillet, melt margarine over medium heat. Add applies and onion. Cook stirring until soft, about 5 minutes.

In 1 1/2 quart casserole dish sprayed with nonstick cooking spray, stir together beans, ketchup, brown sugar, molasses, mustard and apple mixture. If desired add hot dogs. Bake 30 minutes until mixture becomes bubbly.
