Ingredients
- 1 lemon
- 3 sprigs fresh Rosemary
- 6 pound whole roasting chicken
- salt and pepper
- 2 Large onions
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 cups chicken broth
Preparation
Step 1
Grate and reserve 1TABLESPOON zest from lemon
Cut lemon in quarters
Chop and reserve 1 SPRIG rosemary
Place into chicken cavity.
Season chicken with salt and pepper
Set NINJA to STOVETOP HIGH
Put chicken into pot.
Sear uncovered 5-7 minutes
REMOVE CHICKEN AND PLACE ON RACK
Place onions, garlic, broth into pot.
PLACE CHICKEN WIT RACK INTO POT
Sprinkle chicken with reserved zest and rosemary.
SET TO OVEN 375*
I HOUR 15 MINUTES
Cover and cook until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
