Ingredients
- 4 tsp butter
- 1 large clove garlic minced
- 8 1 inch thick slices from french bread
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese or cheese of choice
Preparation
Step 1
Rais the oven rack to the highest position, and turn the broiler on high
Mix butter and garlic
Put the bread slices on a cookie sheet, and slide under the broiler. Watch it carefully, and pull it out when it is just turning golden, two minutes or so.
Spread the untoasted side with garlic butter, then sprinkle with cheese.
Broil the buttered side of the bread for another minute or so. Again watch the bread to make sure it doesn't burn.
